Japanese products, the best.
After living here for a while, I have been sold on Japanese products.
Japanese people are meticulous, they hold themselves to an unbelievabl standard of perfectionism and this carries through in their work. As such, I've come to believe that the produce of Japan are pretty unparallelled the world over. The only ones I can think of to be a rival for them are the Germans as they share so many character and cultural traits with regard to efficiency, perfectionism and relentless refinement of everything they do. Also, having seen how they have to maintain this standard as theit economy is well and truly screwed (more so!!) should they lose competitiveness in this field, it reinforces this view in my head. They take their jobs more seriously than anywhere I have ever seen here, their service industry is untouchable, even the highschool and college kids working fast food put so much effort into it for what reason I don't know, and in 2 years living here I have never gone to a shop and gotten a lazy worker, have never gotten bad service in any way shape or form. A visit to the local Mazda factory resulted in similar amazement, wow is all Im going to say, it was really something to see how they went about putting those cars together.
Folks, you can't go wrong, Lexus, Toyota, Mazda, Honda, Suzuki, Sharp, Creative, Sony, Toshiba, Mistubishi and many many more, say buys all the way, they never break.
That is all.

If they are so great, how come they can't make a decent pair of pants?

i always find the best, most balanced products are usually from here. i think with certain products (like cars), the japanese do well, but it varies. i dont know how tidy they are since i havent been, but i could give a shit if my grocer is a **** or some sort of ocd neat freak. i mean japanese shit seems consistently good, but not the best. anyways. america, fuck yeah something something

[quote=Hammer_Fist;24090974]I thought this thread was gonna go in a completely different direction. Example, panties in a vending machine.

Nah, Happy Boy starts mostly serious threads. He is right about Japanese products though.
