iTunes question...

I want to know if I can get music from my iPod onto iTunes. I'll explain...

my computer went in for repairs and my mom decided that I didn't need all of my music files. So they're gone, along with iTunes. I downloaded iTunes like normal, and I want all of my music back (I'm not going against what my mom did, she knows and she said sorry.) My iPod has all of the songs from my old music files on it, so can i get that music from my iPod, onto iTunes? I would just plug it in but I'm afraid of it syncing automatically like it normally does, but it has no songs. Any information would be very helpful. Thanks in advance.

I just got an idea, would it show up on my desktop as a portable device, with the files on that, sort of like a flash drive?

Allright ready
1. Plug your IPOD in
2. Go to my computer
3. Go to whatever the IPOD is called (mine is called E: GerrysIPOD)
4. Go the top of Windows (not internet) explorer and click tools, and then folder options.
5. Click the View Tab and go down to hidden folders and click "show hidden files and folders.
You will now see a folder pop up called Ipod_Control
6. Double click the folder Ipod_control
7. Double click the folder Music
You will see folders called F00, F01, ect.
Thats where all your music is located.

Remember all your music is usually stored on the IPOD but they are hidden.
Good luck
