The Dark Knight was excellent but Iron Man was a little better. DK dragged on a little more noticably than IM did. If you are into faithfulness to the comic origins, IM had his origins nearly verbatim whereas DK jettisoned the Joker's sick, twisted playfullness, such as an acid-squirting flower, use of poison gas, or lethal toys.
I did have a little trouble suspending my disbelief in DK when I realized that before the movie started, The Joker was awfully busy filling abandoned building with gasoline and explosives, rigging up two ferry boats with explosives, planting bombs all over the hospital ,etc. Just when did he have time to do all that?
I liked the depiction of Two-Face but he didn't really show up until the end and then he got killed off! WTF! Apart from The Joker, he's Batman's best villain and he got killed off.
The cellphone sonar system was a bit much too.
IM had its flaws but I thought it was smoother overall and flowed better.
Both were excellent movies.

If you're the type that thinks Charlie Sheen is cool and funny and you can't ever seem to remember anything in particular about the movies you've seen because they all blur together into the same gigantic pile of watery shit, go see Iron Man.
If you're the type that appreciates subtle symbolism (especially when it applies to the most important current event on earth) and enjoys thinking about things, see The Dark Knight.

There was nothing subtle about the symbolism. The Dark Knight really wasn't as deep as you fans are making it out to be. It was a good movie with a lot of character (including a couple crazy ones) and a lot of plot twists. If I want to think, I'll read a book or watch a debate, not go see a comic book movie.

Iron Man easily. How can Batman hurt him? I can think of about a thousand ways he can hurt batman.

Iron Man was a great comic book movie. But The Dark Knight was a great movie, it was a step above iron man.

I agree, whilst you can watch The Dark Knight on many different levels i.e. Seeing the whole theme of Duality or completely ignoring it and seeing it as an action movie. There was nothing particularly innovative (for lack of a better word) about the theme and symbolism. For me, i was watching it as an action movie and i loved it. The symbolism is nice but it isn't what makes the movie great.

Dark Knight. Sucks that Robert Downey couldn't have been the Joker, he would have done even better than Heath via having far more talent.
