She's not a close friend but I admit i'm in the friend pile. She's a geek kinda chick i know it sounds negative but she doesn't really go out to pubs n clubs (neither do i) likes harry potter and is a big big big film buff. We were classmates then we finished school. I'm doin further studies she's workin fulltime. We last saw either about a month ago we had dinner and saw two movies at the cinema and since then we've textd each other about once a week.

Anyway I txtd her the other day askin if she wanted to have lunch friday (knowin it was her day off) she replyed like 10 minutes later sayin yeh. I'm gonna go there, have lunch w/her and chat and laugh n all that shit. Then afterward when we leave I'm gonna ask her if she has a boyfriend (I'm 99% sure she is single - I mean think about it if you had a gf would you seriously let her go to the movies with a male friend til 11.30 at night????? then let her have lunch with him on her day off?????). If she asks why I'm gonna tell her I want more than friendship. Not gonna make a big deal out of it, just say 'ur a great person i really like ya and thats why i want ya as more than a friend' some shit like that.

Great advice. If you bring up the fact that you like her, do it nonchalantly and gauge her response. If she doesn't respond, change the subject as if you don't care and aren't giving her an ultimatum. Then have fun and talk some more, and then maybe mention it again.

DO NOT say something like "I really am starting to have feelings for you. I was wondering if you feel the same way"...you are cornering her; giving her an ultimatum when you do that and she is more likely to brush it off and say she doesn't want anything EVEN IF SHE FEELS THAT WAY.

Instead, catch her when she's laughing and just say something like "I think I like you." End of it. Only do this if you're "there" though. Don't do it if both of you are not comfortable. Gauge her response, and adjust accordingly.

Imagine how to get a cat to like you. If you push too hard and corner it, it's going to run away even if it was interested in you. If you sit back and dangle a string in front of it and ALMOST let him have it but not quite, the cat will love you. Girls are similar.
