No, I think those are just expressions that are typically attributed to illuminati thought.
Annuit Coeptis I believe is translated to something like "He favors our undertakings"
Novus Ordoi Seclorum is more easily translated: New World Order
It's important to understand that there actually was an Illuminated Order started by Adam Weishaupt in Bavaria, altho i have heard that Adam Weishaupt may not have actually existed. It's hard to say as there is a lot of mystery and myth surrounding the Illuminati. Supposedly the Illuminati took a lot of its mythos and principles from The Masons, and high-ranking masons were (and still are) said to to be the ones who make up the Illuminati, both back then and today. Several of the American founding fathers were said to have been high-ranking Masons, the kind who would have been illuminati, depending on whether you believe in it in the first place. The Masons, in the meantime, like to trace their ancestry back to the civilization of the Egyptians (if not farther), so there is a very long (probably mostly imagined) lineage from the Illuminati all the way back to Atlantean and even alien civilizations.
Besides the sketchy historical details about the Illuminati, there is a wealth of speculation and outright fiction. It's really become a modern ****phor for everything that is mysterious, unknown, god-like, privileged, undemocratic, etc. etc. Everything from Pynchon's Trystero (Crying of Lot 49), the X-Files' shadow government. Eco's TRES/Templars, the monoliths from Neon Genesis, the party scene in Kubrick's Eyes Wide Shut... all of these are basically facets of the same idea that lurks behind all of them, that being The illuminati.
Robert Anton Wilson is considered an authority on the subject, altho he probably deals with more of the speculation/fantasy/****phor aspects of the Illuminati than on its actual historical, factual significance. He wrote the Illuminatus! trilogy, which is a real psychedelic freak out.
