If you could Vacation anywhere in the United States....

where would it be? (excluding Hawaii & Alaska)

The GF and I are convinced we want to vacation for around one week somewhere in the US (Preferably the warmer Midwest and West Coast climate) sometime in April...

My question to you sherdoggers is...where would YOU want to go?

Originally we were tossing around the idea of Phoenix, AZ...now it's potentially somewhere in Texas (not sure where), or possibly San Diego or Denver, CO?

Who knows.....what would be a great spot to Vacation?

We both live in NYC.

So let's hear it, where would you prefer vaca'ing in the United States?

Wyoming or Montana in some secluded place where I could just drop a tent and be alone for a while and fish or hike.

Vegas IMO.

Food, UFC, Music, Shows, etc.

What's not to love?

I used to live in Denver, Co, excellent if you're willing to hike a long car ride to go skiing or what not.

Ive been lucky enough to do a good bit of traveling in the US, and my favorite city is SF. There are a ton of things to do, and it really is a beautiful city with character. Also, you have Napa and wine country right there.

Also, Miami is cool for a couple of days if you like the beach scene, and of course Boston is cool if you want to stay in the North East.

What exactly are you looking for?

I'm going to be selfish and say that I want the best of BOTH worlds! Maybe one day I'd like to relax at a spa or resort, then the following day do something exciting!

Not sure, I'm all over the boards..lol.

I think we're leaning toward San Diego.

Since you have an entire week you could fly to San Diego, spend a few days there, rent a car, drive to LA, spend an hour there, and then drive to Vegas and fly back to NY from Vegas.
