Programs to learn portuguese?

Does anyone know any good programs to learn portuguese? Ive been searching around and have come up with some things that look pretty good but they're always around $200. I'm trying to find something like http://www.languagerevolution.com/pr...portnshgdter53
because it doesnt revolve around strict memorization. If anyone has any suggestions they would be appreciated.

stuff from berlitz, pimsleur, et.al. are good but imo rosetta stone is the best program to get short of taking a class at your local college. the rosetta stone software is expensive but very worth it. the stuff from berlitz or pimsleur works but don't expect anything more than a small amount of conversational portuguese.

also, make sure you know what you are getting. portuguese (europe) and brasilian portuguese are different. and not like british/usa english different either.

For fuck's sake get it all offf the torrents. Pimsleur and Rosetta Stone are all over the place.
