I blame YeahBee,Lone Wolf role playing books

Like 2 weeks ago , YeahBee had a thread about gamebooks.

Well that took me way way back to when I was like 11ish and was into the Lone Wolf role playing gamebooks.
Got me reminising and being the very nostalgic person that I am, started to read up on Lone Wolf websites and wanted to read/play those books again.

No local bookstores have them sinc they are long out of print (though a new edition is being published with 1 book coming out every 2-3 months). I didn't want to wait 2 -3 months for each book (there is like 28 in the series) so looked on Ebay for awhile and finally found a guy in England selling the first 12 books.

Cost me 100 dollars (including the shipping) and it came today.

And now the trip down emmory lane beings (I only read like 5 back when I was a kid and not in the proper order, though each book can be read on its own, still in order is better)

Well If YeahBee hadn't brought up gamebooks, I wouldn't be wasting time and money on these Lone WOlf books, dam him

for those intrested, bottom site is dedicated to the Lone Wold series

Wiki intro to what these gamebooks are about, they provided inspiration and idead for the modern computer mmorgs. Back in the day they were award winning and sold in the millions.

If you played the books as a kid then the below cover might jog some memories.

DOOOOD. I had like the first 18 and then threw them away. LOL.

Friggin' the best shit ever. running around with the Kai master skills and every book you get closer to being the GRand master series was cool. I still remember the best paths through some of the books. good stuff. The illustrations were sick too.

I recently had this very same problem! You should also check out the Golden Dragon, and Blood Sword books. (I hope I didn't just contribute to more money/time wasted)
