Hot Dogs!
Summertime is here and everyone is always into hamburgers, but how can we forget the traditional hot dog! Tell us how do you like 'em!
How should a hot dog be cooked?
Grilled? Dirty water? Steamed? Fried? BBQ'd? Baked? Toasted?
What goes on a hot dog?
Ketchup? Mustard? Mayo? Avacado? Beans? Onions? Salsa? Cheese?
What's the best place to get a hot dog?
Wienerschnitzel? Hot Dog on a Stick? Grocery store? Sports game? Your backyard?

I like hot dogs cut in half, stuffed with cheese, wrapped in crescent rolls and baked. Serve with mustard and ketchup.
Regular hot dogs require mustard and relish. Maybe some onions and mayo, but that's it.

I like boiled personally with horseradish mustard - Ballpark and Fenway Franks are the best you can buy imo.

Haveyou ever bought Casper hot dogs from the store (or from a Casper Hot Dog stand)? They are really good, footlong and the skin has that 'snap' that makes it good. Plus the flavor is incredible; I dont know what Casper does, but for my dollar its one of the best I can find at the store.

I usually only eat hot dogs when I'm either in Chi-town, NYC, or at a baseball or football game. But they are damn good. I personally like them either grilled or steamed the best.
There's a pretty cool hour long show, I think on the Travel Channel, where they go across the country and show around a dozen of the most famous and crazy places to get hot dogs. It's a damn good watch if you see it on one day.

street vendors know whats up. grilled dog with saurkraut, chopped onions (sautéed is nice too), hot peppers ( jalapenos) and mustard.
if the bun is steamed then grilled for a few seconds then you're eating what god intended us to eat.

I like hotdogs and I'm not very picky about how they are cooked. I guess grilling would be my pick but boiled or broiled is good to. I feel the same about condiments. I like chili dogs, slaw dogs, chili slaw dogs. I like relish and I even like sauerkraut on them. Mustard, ketshup, and onions is good also. I don't think I could eat mayo on a dog though.
The Varsity in Atlanta has great dogs.
My favorite dog type food is beer and brats though. Take some good brats and add an onion and dark beer of choice. Simmer for 2-4 hours then eat with mustard and the onions on a roll. The trick is to get your beer so that it is hot enough to produce steam but no bubbles. That way the brats wont burst.

I had some bacon wrapped hot dogs a while back. Yes, I was at risk of a heart attack, but they are the most delicious hot dogs known to man. Chili chese dogs are awesome also.
