Icon14 The hobbit film and a sequel finally going ahead!

For anyone that is interested...

Peter jackson and new line cinemas have finally "buried the hatchet" ...and are moving on!

I have read the hobbit, and think it would make a great film -but what would the sequel be? It is set between the hobbit and the fellowship of the ring...

Films set for 2010 and 2011

Cool. I read The Hobbit in 7th grade, I think, and really enjoyed it. Is the actual hobbit going to be played by Elijah Wood? I imagine so..

That's good news. It should be consistent in quality as the LOTR films.

I wonder what they will do with the second film?

And what would they call it?

Maybe it will be about Suaron's rise to power.

this should be cool, although personally i find the hobbit to be an inferior prototype to LOTR. who knows though, that might make it translate even better to film. at any rate, i'm more excited about the other one.
