Oliver Stone did that as part of his Vietnam trilogy, after 'Platoon' he did 'Heaven and Earth' about a Vietnamese village girl during the war.
There's a Korean film called Brotherhood about two brothers on seperate sides of the Korean war although it focuses more on the South Koreans, its an awesome film though.
Clint Eastwood did his 'Letters from Iwo Jima' focusing on the Japanese perspective during WW2. __________________
