I was speaking with a friend today about the fact that there has never been a well made movie based on Vikings. It led to a discussion about other civilizations or moments in history that are fascinating, but have never been adapted to the big screen. His was a bit of an odd one, but interesting nonetheless, it's the first contact of Europeans to Hawaii.

So I was just wondering what other people thought would be an interesting concept along these parameters.

This could even be split into a trilogy, for the three phases of the war. Now who would be the protagonists and who would be the antagonists of the story? Personally, in a situation like this I'd let the viewer decide for themselves.

I agree, though I tend to dislike the Athenians.

The crazy thing is it could be made really relevant to the issues of today.

While it'd probably end up being incredibly controversial, I'd like to see a movie seen from the perspective of the opposite of one of America's wars. The Vietnamese, the Koreans, etc. Life isn't a movie, and these people and these countries felt they were doing the correct thing. I just think it'd be a fascinating movie.
