It's possible that she can still get the nomination, but the numbers HEAVILY favor Obama. I think she's trying to get the VP slot on the ticket. That's why she's going on about how well she carries this state, and that state. She's selling herself to the party and the Obama campaign. Maybe she really thinks she can win, and kudos to her for going for it, but I think she may be just pushing to get on the ticket as the necessary VP to get the win in November.

The Republicans are going to pull out the dirt on Obama.

Obama has some skeletons in his closet and I doubt if the Democrats re-ran the elections that he'd get the same reports.

There are a bunch of Democratic voters that would now change their vote based on the last few months information about him and his wife.

What kind of dirt are you talking about? The most damaging has been the Jeremiah Wright controvery, and with McCain accepting the endorsement of that wacko Evangelical preacher, that will likely be negated. I don't doubt that the Republican party, with or without McCain's approval, will go negative, but I'm interested to hear what type of dirt you're talking about here.

It's understandable since she's been running very hard for nearly 2 years and now she has to drop out even though she's just within reach- defiently sucks.

With that said she should drop out...

She has a lot of campaign debts. She is staying in the campaign until she pays them off.

Exactly why I think she is staying in as well. Last I read she was $20M in the shitter. She even had to loan her campaign money from her personal accounts. Edwards gave one hell of a speech about her though the other night when he endorsed Obama leading me to believe they are looking at her as the VP candidate. Like Bill Clinton said, an Obama/Clinton ticket may be unstoppable.

Edwards clearly made his comments to try to get pulled into Obama's success some how. I think Edwards wants to be the attorney general. I'm not sure if Clinton is aiming for vice president or speaker of the house. Either way, the democrats are setting up their chess board pretty well right now.
