Heat rash!! (edited, its actually a bad case of chafing!!)
Following on from my rant about humidity the other week, its really kicked in full force here and in Hiroshima we are experiencing 35 celcius with 98 and 99% humidity every day.
As a result, I am starting to get my annual bout of heat rash as my skin rebels against these inhuman conditions and sends me a message to get myself back to Ireland ASAP. The result of this is that my left elbow joint looks similar to that of a drug addict, and this will soon be the case for both knee joints, groin (the worst) and the other elbow, as well as some random places here and there. Itching followed by burning is the symptom, waiting and overdosing on antihistamines and creams the cure (kind of!!).
I take the sun well in one regard in that I do tan very well, so the other day I walked around outside for about 30 minutes to get a little exposure before coming back in, thought it did the trick as I was lightly coloured that night without burning, but self-pwnage was the real result as I awoke the following morning looking like I had syringed myself to pieces.
Anyone else suffer this most irritating of ailments?
Any household rememdies or advice you'd like to share?

Bro I am sorry for your plight. Did you try the gold bond? If you havent go get some. Dont get some cheap generic go for the brand name Gold bond medicated powder.
When my son had bad rashes, the doctor gave him a lotion with a very high precetage of lanolin( you know sheep grease). It really eased his discomfort.
I am laughing a little at the fact that you are in the east asking for a homiopathic remedy from the west. Those folks around you have an herb or lizard piss for everything.

I would rather have heat rash than butt rash. As a chemist, i should tell you to wear some sort of spf sun lotion, but i won't because you are a grown man.
First, take a cool shower. Then use something with aloe vera. I have also read in medical journals that coconut butter may help with heat rash.

Im going to the chemist after work, will try in my best Japanese to find some of this stuff. I got some medicated talcum powder sent here, not gold bond cos nobody could find that, but this stiff is highly recommended. Should I apply it directly to the rash?
Any other words of wisdom folks? Anything is appreciated, Im suffering here!!

Well yeah, directly to the rash. Make sure that you have washed the area that you are to apply first though. I used to get that shit all the time while playing summer league baseball.
I would smoke some pot to control your anxiety, or pop a clonazepam. But that's optional of course.

No weed for me, anodyne free since 2004
I actually think this could be just a bad case of chaffing to be honest. The patches of the rash coincide exactly above and below the crease in shape, and I ran for close to an hour in the heat with the arm like that the other day with the above and blow elbow areas in constant sweaty contact for the entire thing. It doesn't acutally look like the usual heat rash I get, that is more small red bumps, this looks like damaged skin.
I have a rash guard for judo, from anyone's experience does that help this out for running in extreme heat?
