Is Hawaii a good place to live?

I randomly starting thinking about picking up and moving from Indiana to HAwaii after I graduate college next year. Obviously I know its an amazing place but is it more of just a vacation spot than a good place to live?

BTW Ill have about 60k and no loans at all at that time. The only thing that might hold me back is leaving my family and friends behind..

Just checking if anyone else has done anything like this?

Don't be PMing me. I've already stated my opinion in the other thread.

My friend went over there to live about a half year ago and only lasted for a few months. He got robbed by locals several times and said they were generally racist and didn't like newcomers. That's just my two cents based on something I heard rather than experienced.
