Clubs in the city stay open until 4am, 5am or do not close at all, there are also drugs, booze flowing freely in these places and are crowded with men and women that will basically bang anything. If you meet a girl that is into that scene, there is a great chance she has a drug, alcohol or sex problem, maybe even all three....plus the music gets annoying after a while.

Since this thread is leading towards those who had short engagements and how those were terrible mistakes, I need to give a positive plug.
I was engaged to my wife two days after we meet and we were married three months later.
Our 11 year anniversary was last week.

My wife and I got engaged after two months; the engagement lasted 2 years though. Married when we finished undergrad.
+1 for positive side of quick engagement.

My friend met a chick online and they have been happily married for close to 3 years now. It's not how you meet them, but how they act.

Good thing you got the ring back.

There was a guy who posted in a thread here a few weeks ago that met his wife while waiting in line at a Chinese food place and they were married within three weeks and they had just celebrated their 25 anniversary, or something like that. Some relationships with fast starts work out, some don't. Glad to hear yours is still going.
