The Swimmer starring Burt Lancaster. I am not one for old movies at all, but for a number of reasons, I love this movie. In many respects it was the first film that showed the breakdown of the American psyche. It was cynical and bizarre at the same time. There are some funny if dated dialogue pieces in this trailer.

Check it out.

Yep. I would love to try and "swim home". Unfortunately, there arent enough swimming pools around to do that today. Too expensive I guess.

Several films chronicled the descent into madness before 1968.
