Shit, I'm blanking on the name...
It was a recent documentary on this war photographer guy who photographed Rwanda, and Kosovo, etc.
The name will come to me...

I agree with you sentiment about them not being on a top 10 list of documentaries, but Bowling for Columbine is a documentary (an average one). It is a series of interviews, scenes of Michael Moore doing shit with people around different towns, and is like every doc he makes.

I've watched "Why We Fight", The Fog of War", and "The Corporation". All very good. I've seen so many docs, I couldn't name them all. I watch PBS all the time just because of the numerous docs they show. I consider "Frontline" to be the greatest show ever made and each episode is a documentary on its own.

Just wanted to add,...you have great tastes my friend.

Firstly it's all a matter of opinion. Secondly, I haven't seen an awful lot of docs and I won't pretend toknow alot about any pre-90's docs. I am merely stating what my favorites are and asking other to post thiers. But, yes, Bowling for Columbine is a great documentary IMO.......so aside from critising my list, what do you have to add?

I can't stand posting this title when I know you guys ae not going to bother trying to look it up. Its a masterpiece!!! Go track it down!!!

'When the Levees broke' is good and an important film to have made.

here is the trailer to FAVELA RISING:
http://favelarising.com/

Another very good film is 'CHOKA', about street kids in Zambia.

Here is a link:

Another very good doc by the same team who did Choka is called 'On The Frontline':

(The two above films I am a little bias about seeing as they are both set in Zambia)

That sounds pretty good. Shame it's not on DVD. I'll have to look for a digital version...
