I debated whether or not to make such a silly gossipy thread that I may have written when I was 12, but I find some recent events kind of entertaining to watch unfold, so I thought I would share for anyone who cares to follow as I update this thread. It is a long one so if you find you are getting bored pretty early on, stop reading cuz it doesn't get much more interesting.:

Key Players

My GF whom I will refer to as My GF
Her bestfriend whom I will refer to as Helga
Their mutual and new friend whom I will refer to as Cinderella (to make sure the distinction is very apparent between her and Helga)
And one of my best friends whom I will call Tony

The story

My GF is from the east coast and only moved out here a couple of years ago. She is shy in groups so she has trouble meeting new friends. She met Helga at work and Helga has basically been one of her only friends since moving here as well as a few casual aquaintances.

Helga is, ummmm, healthy? Lets just say she is bigger than two Gina Caranos before Gina has cut weight. She is nice enough I guess, but I find her personality a bit grating. She proudly refers to herself as a former puck slut because she slept with lots of guys on some hockey team.

Anyway, Tony is one of my bestfriends. He is pretty much the epitome of the All American boy. He was a sports superstar in highschool, voted "Most well liked," was runner up for prom king, he is hilarious and because of it all girls swoon for him. I mean even my older sister who thinks most my friends are knuckle heads says she would have dated him if he were a little older. Something that most girls don't know about Tony though is the dude has a libido like a rabbit. And if drinks even a little alcohol he will fuck anything that even remotely resembles a vagina.

So one night I'm at the bar with Helga and my GF and so I call up Tony so I'm not just listening to girl talk all night. Tony gets there and does his normal charismatic banter and of course Helga is sucked into the blackhole that is his charm. Tony makes his rounds around the bar and not unexpectedly is getting the number of some hot chick. Anyway he gets real drunk so he decides he will crash at my GF's apartment. Helga was going to go home, but sensing an opportunity, she decides to crash as well. Lo-and-behold they fuck.

The next day I go to drop him off at his car and I say, "So, you and Helga huh?" And his only reply is "Dude, I don't want to talk about that ever okay?" Then we laugh.

Over the next several weeks Helga is in La-La land thinking she finally found Mr. Right despite the fact he makes no effort to contact her. My GF informs me that the only thing Helga is willing to talk about is Tony. I tell Tony "Hey man, next time we hang out you should make it clear it was a one time thing because she is becoming quite enamored with you." He says "No prob."

About a month later we are all at the bar with a bunch of friends. Tony needs a ride home so Helga offers. And they end up sexing like 4 or 5 times that night according to her. He says he has no memory of any of it (I believe her on this one, I think he is just embarrassed). Now she is practically planning their childrens names for the next several months.

Fast forward 4 months. He has not talked to her at all and she is finally starting to catch the hint he isn't interested. But she wants to meet him face to face to be certain even though my GF has explained that he really isn't interested. So one night when I'm at the bar with him she shows up and take him aside to talk. He makes it clear it was just a fling. She is really butt hurt but she moves on (so I thought). Also, my GF has to move out of her high cost apartment and find roomate so her and Helga decide they will move in together beginning Aug. 5th.

Fast forward about a month or so to recent events.

I invite a few friends out to do a pub crawl for my 27th bday last weekend (technically I turn 27 tomorrow as does A. Elmeinanko, which I think means I'm as bad ass as he is but without the swastika tattoos). Both Helga and Tony are there. But my GF also invites Cinderella who just recently started hanging out with Helga and my GF as she just recently started working with them.

Cinderella is a petite blonde with blue eyes and very cute. Cute enough in fact that two of my friends called me the next day and asked me to put in a good word for them as they are interested in possibly dating her. Nonetheless, Cinderella immediately had an eye for one of my friends, Tony. She was aware that Helga had been interested in him, but she too became overly captivated by him. And he immediately took a liking to her. They began to flirt, both on the down low so that Helga wouldn't see, but as it got more apparent, my GF told them to go outside and talk. So they snuck out of the bar for a little while, exchanged numbers, and a small kiss. When Cinderella comes back in the bar Helga pulls her aside and says, "Hey, I've been looking for you. I want to get your impression. Tony says that what happened between us is just a fling, but I can tell he is interested in me. What do you think, do you see the chemistry between us or am I making it all up." I don't know what Cinderella said but something small and polite.

Anyway now Cinderella and Tony want to go on a double date with me and my GF on Thursday. The very next day they will both be at my GF's and Helga's new apartment warning party. They can't hide their flirting forever, but I think shit is going to hit the fan on Friday. When Helga realizes that this new girl just came in and stole away her Tony and that my GF, her bestfriend and new roomate, encouraged it. Oh it should be interesting.

How do you think it will go down?

Tell Tony to come to the party with flowers for Cinderella and a whole cake for Helga. So while Helga may be upset that Cinderella gets the guy, at least she can bury her face in that cake.

Also, it should be Cinderella that tells Helga about her interest in Tony, if not, Helga will become an ugly step sister real quick.

Yeah, I agree on that second part. I think my GF is going to tell Cinderella today that they may need to come clean to Helga, otherwise they are going to get into a deep hole of white lies.

Bad, all bad but its kind of an unfair situation b/c Helga is a bit delusional and Tony was a bit reckless. Not judging, but he's kind of got whatevers coming to him, so does Helga for not being able to see the obvious. Cinderella really shouldn't catch shit for any of it though.

Not to be rude, but that story had a very disappointing ending. I'm assuming everyone is close to your age, so if they are smart they will realize it's probably more trouble than it is worth. On the other hand, it seems like Cinderella isn't really friends with Helga and Tony isn't exactly friends with Helga, so who really cares? Your g/f will be the one stuck in the middle.

I think fat girls are used to taking a back seat to petite blondes so she will probaly get over it quick. Tell him to Bring her a box of ho ho's and call it a wash.

Your girl is gonna get a lot of shit from Helga (good choice for a name, btw), and when she does, she should tell Helga to stop banging really drunk guys and thinking it means something.

I cant believe I actually read that...Anyway sounds like a funny situation.


Worse that will happen is that Cinderella an Tony will become a couple and your g/f and her fat friend will probably distance themselves from her.

Another scenario is Cinderella and Tony have a fallout and thats that.
