good ideas for a present for my gf

weve been together for about a year and agreed to spend around 100 bucks on a present......for my bday she got me some nice custom slippers and really good tickets to maroon 5 concert.....i dont know exactly what to get her for christmas though but it has to be good.......she showed interest in a perfume thats about 50 bucks on ebay, and i wanted to get her a digital photo frame with our pics, would that be good or too lame??...any other ideas?

I don't know your girl. I happen to be great at getting gifts with girls I'm with. I generally think back to our earliest dates and find something that was important to us back then and find a way to present that to them in gift form and it re-ignites that early chemistry we had.

For example with my last GF we went to SF on one of our first dates and we really really had a great time. So reserved a hotel room in SF for valentines day. And when I told her this I said, "That was one of my favorite days with you and I want to relive it." And she was friggin estatic.

I've also written guitar songs and had them recorded for them and that always goes over well, made one girl cry she was so emotional about it.

I met one girl at my work. We had to wear these lame ass name tags. So on our anniversary I bought us a nice bottle of wine and I gave her a glass and me a glass. On the glasses etched in the glass was her name in the emblem of the name tag + my name in the emblem of the name tag. It was the corniest gift I ever gave, but she loved it.

One time a had a star named after a girl. I felt like a dork doing it, but she was so narcissitic that it made her happy.

She'll love Call of Duty 4.

Just get her the perfume and surprise her with a cake and you guys can eat it together with candles and everything. Digital photo thing sounds kind of lame.

Key point being you spent a ton of money and none of them stayed with you.

Thats true, I dumped them.

And a ton of money is contextual. I was making good money at the time, none of those gifts cost me a lot relative to what I was making (although now they would be). Except the glasses, those cost 50-60 bucks top.

Hotel room cost me 450 a night, but you could easily do a cheaper hotel room in a nice city.

Recording guitar songs I did for free with a buddy, and one time paid 150 to get it recorded at an upstart recording studio.

Also don't ask guys what will be lame. Lame to us is often awesome to them.
