I'm sorry to hear of your ongoing personal tragedy. I lost my mother under similar circumstances back in October of 1999. She spent her last couple weeks in the care of her younger sister, a nurse at a nursing home which also functioned as a hospice. My thoughts are with you and your family.

i'm really sorry to hear that man.
i want you to be aware that it's very common for cancer patients to gain lucidity near the end of their struggle, so cherish every second right now, but brace yourself.

thanks man. that's sort of what I figured. the calm before the storm so to speak. the last hurrah. she was good most of the day today, but tonight, she is hallucinating horribly and having shallow breaths. I just hope this is over with soon.
thanks everyone. I guess no matter what the circumstances it's never easy.

I feel I should quote some great figure, or say God Bless, my condolences. But, strive, strive, to make her last moments her most meaningful. She raised you well did she not?

Hey man, I truly feel for you and your family. I was only raised by my mom, and trying to put myself in your shoes TRULY hurt me. I don't want to give you a false sense of hope, but I've seen way too many cases of people that even the professionals have given up on due to the far stage of the cancer, yet simply heal back to normal. My best wish and piece of advice that I can give you is to cherish this moment with her, kiss her, hug her, tell her how much you love her and how much she means to you. Do it now.

Yeah, my grandma used to live just up the road and slowly died of stomach cancer when I was about 15. That shit hit me hard. She was our families stone and when she died things in the family started to get a little out of hand.
But she was put in a hospice center for the end weeks. They are seriously nice places aside from what they are. The rooms are nice, most of the nurses where great and it had a nice little view. They can be a hard place to get into...
Sorry to hear about your mother dude. That shit would chew me up. Ya just gotta keep your head up and do your best to role with the punches.
Hang in there, bro...
