I find myself feeling the same thing. Wishing each breath would be her last, just so she would be out of this misery, but hoping that it's not her last, because I want more time with her. I'm not really sure how I feel about home hospice. It's wonderful, yet I'm sure it will take an emotional toll on all of us. But, we'll get over it. What is important right now is what she wants. It just kills me when she talks about getting better. Sometimes she understands that this is it, sometimes she doesn't. I'm just a wreck about it.

Remember her in the good times and celebrate those moments with you family. I know it is hard, but she will be in a better place and pain free.

My pop was 2 weeks before retirement from Ford and he was diagnosed. Lasted 10 weeks. 30 years deal and retirement from Ford with a damn good plan. He was 55. Pertty shitty.
