I'm gonna be going camping for 3 days with my buddies in a few days. We are making a list for what we will need to bring with us but we don't want to remember something cool we could have brought along with us when we reach the place

So what would you recommend we bring?

We already got tons of food, tons of booze, tents, sleeping bags, swimming gear. So we got the basic stuff, what else should we bring?

A good chair
Football / Frisbee
More booze
Extra socks

Really, that's all you need. Oh, and a bunch of good music.

Who are you camping with?

I'll tell you an off topic story.

A mate of mine had to sit thru a class that had a lecture about sexual assault. The lecturere was trying to give the students and idea of what it was like to be a sexual assault victim, to empathise.

The lecturer said "I will give you a scenario. You are on a camping trip with friends. During the three day camping trip, one of the men on the trip comes into your tent and rapes you. He forcibly has sex with you against your will. Do you tell anyone?"

The lecturer went round the class and asked everyone their answer. Everyone was saying "Yeah" "Of course I would", "I'd have the prick charged" etc.

One guy said "No way. I wouldn't tell a soul. I wouldn't want anyone to find out. If I didn't tell anyone, then no one else would no."

The lecturer was pleased, he had gotten a realistic answer that lead on to his next point. People were taking it seriously.

But before he could expand my mate on the otherside of the room yells out "Hey, do you wanna come camping this week end?"

Needless to say, he was immediately ejected from the class.


I don't know if they went camping.

also bring a hatchet for firewood, fishing poles and tackle if near water, 4wd truck.

and a good way to build a fire is to stack your wood like lincoln logs and fill the middle with twigs and leaves. i've went camping with a bunch of people and am never ceased to be amazed at how few can build a decent fire.
