Going to a bone and joint doctor tomorrow to get my knee checked out...advice?
edit: Well I came back from my initial consultation with a negative x-ray, an anti-inflammatory prescription, and a prescription for an MRI to see if it's a partial tear.
Thrilling stuff
Not sure what to expect in terms of an examination. Knee is hurting a lot. Any vets of knee problems have advice on what to expect, but also ways in which I can actively help the doctor treat me through description of the pain etc...?

does it hurt through a certain range of motion? Can you walk on it?

If he slips on a glove and starts inching towards your hind quarters, get outta there fast!
What kind of knee problems is it? Joint? Ligament? Muscle?

Outside of my right knee and outside rear of my right knee. Can walk and run on it, but gets very sore after a bit, and hurts whenever bent upwards past parallel with the floor.

Probably a strain on one of your side ligaments ... I think it's called a cruciate ligament.

Whatever he tells you to do make sure you follow him. Knee injuries aren't to mess with, especially if it's a strain or partial tear of a ligament. Just do what he says to get it fixed.

Get some Tiger Balm and just stay off of it. Make sure you see the doctor and get whatever medical attention you need.
