im from alberta so ive had moose an bear before. not sure what part off alaska im going to yet, just in the process of planning the trip.

what is the alaskan highway like? ive hear it is quite the drive, i have 35ft wheel im pulling an am curious if that is a recommended route

ah yes, the alaska highway lol
I recommend driving it for sure, there's a ton of tourists that drive it every summer with ridiculous buses/fifth wheels so you'll be fine, the road's in good condition
lots of stuff to see on the way too

watch out for mountain goats if you drive. they like to eat the grass that grows in the road cracks. its a bitch of a drive if your pulling anything. half the highway is dirt but its not too dangerous a drive during the summer. hit up the russian river, homer, and stay away from the natives.

I live in the Anchorage area (peters creek) and really the best advise I can give you is to avoid the whole cruise ship tour stuff rent a car and explore. If you are into fishing avoid combat fishing on the kenai, russian or any other river for that matter and go out on a charter boat in seward or homer really worth the money. Also drive on the denali highway if you can its a really spectacular drive.
