For me, its made me respect my woman a LOT more. Before I was a Christian I used to go home with girls, and it made me lose all respect for them, I looked on them as slags behind all the flattery I'd say to get them to bed. This hasn't happened with my fiancee, I respect her as a person so much more because of the way we have done it.

the problem isn't your view now it was your view of women then, quite an unpleasant view IMO

for me it is the other way around, I respect wome that will sleep with me, it means that they aren't superficial

I don't really understand people who say "I lost respect for that girl because she slept with me so quickly." People who say this must have a very low opinion of themselves.

I have worked with and arund children for 10 years (, coaching on and off, work related traing and temping) I cna spot children that are unhappy with the home situation (not to mention seeing parents argue when picking droppoing of theirs) I can also see relief when a divorce is final and it has settled in and of course the sadness when it is going on, aswell as the happiness and/or the sadness when a parent has found someone new

Alotta kids go thru a faze when the want their parents back together, but it is passing

Of course you should work on it, there was love at some point (otherwise there isn't much to work on) d but at some point a divorce is the final asnswer, you most definitly shouldn't stay together because a "man in a funny hat and collar" says so

when you get the chance, read the article. Has nothing to do with religion, just misconceptions of equating divorce = happiness.

getting poontang is a mission for men. If the mission is easy, you lose respect because it's likely easy for EVERYONE. If everyone has access to all the gold in the world, gold would not be worth much.

Well, that view was as honest as you can get. It wasn't shaped by Christianity or any religious fervor, I was as far from God as you could be at the time, and my feeling was that a woman that goes to bed with a man mere hours after meeting him for the first time, after a few minutes of drunken fancy talk, is a bit of a slag and hard to respect. I thought no better of a man that did that, hence I had no respect for myself either.

An unpleasant view? Maybe, who knows, I do know that the way I'm doing things now is far far superior and its no surprise its the way promoted by the Christian Bible.

those feelings of disrespect for themand yourself must stem from something

I jsut assumed that my one nigth stands liked sex = because as I have had a non religious upbringing it isn't viewed as something bad or wrong to do before marriage

Again if you are brought up in a non religious way sex isn't something bad or wrong, it is jsut a pleasurable experience,
