Gas prices are getting ridiculous

How much does gas cost in your neck of the woods?

USA National Gas Temperature Map

Gas is about $3.85 a gallon here in Michigan. Gas prices are going to cripple our economy. How the fuck do we invade an oil rich country and then gas prices jump over $1.50 a gallon, and big oil companies have record profits? Shit doesn't make sense.

Wait till the "stimulus" checks start rolling out and people start buying more gas to go on vacation. We'll see 4.00 a gallon this summer, easy.

Meh, it's a non-renewable resource the way things are going, it won't be going down. Just a fact of life.

BTW it's to $1.23 a litre up here, so if I was American, I wouldn't be complaining all that much.

^ WTF??!!! Why quote the TS if you're the first to reply?

BTW, I lol'd at TS for wondering about the relation between invading a country (specifically one relevant to the oil industry), and a spike on the price of gas.

He's saying we pay $4.66 per gallon up here. It's the reason I bike.

About $3.59 down here. Family and friends of mine up in Chicago were telling me it was $3.80 up there.

I like to think that in the long run this is going to be a good thing. If the public starts putting more pressure on politicians and the auto industry we may actually see some advances in our energy sources in the near future.
