For those of you that don't know, Fortress Forever is a fan-made successor of the Half-Life mod, Team Fortress Classic. It uses HL2's Source engine. The game has been long awaited in the TFC community. It finally came out a few days ago and I, myself, have been playing since 4am this morning.
It's not supposed to be TFC: Source. It's a game all its own. BUT it probably plays closer to TFC than TF2 will. I'm not sure how it'll stack up against Valve's own Team Fortress 2, which is due to come out in October, but I'm very impressed with this game. It has some glitches and bugs, but it'll all be ironed out soon, I hope.
All in all, I'm having great fun playing this game. I almost shed a tear once I started it up. Nostalgia from having played Team Fortress Classic for years on end. This coming from a player who thinks TFC is a better game than CS.
Here's a video of a Demoman class player on a map called "Cornfield."
There's links to where you can download the game on there. And it IS a very fun game. I've been playing it whenever I have the time to do so. The Sniper class takes awhile to get used to, though. It's kinda different from the Sniper class in TFC.
I don't know a lot about this stuff, so the word 'mod' makes me think its an add-on to another game. Do you have to have any additional software (IE - the original game) for this, or can I download this mod and play?

I think you have to have Half-Life 2 in order to play it. I'm not sure. Maybe you only need Steam in order to play?
I can't play it. It crashes for me each time I try.
I think one time I managed to get something going for about 5 minutes.
Happened to a guy I know. He uninstalled his videocard drivers and installed new ones and it worked. He was using Omega ATI drivers. He installed ATI's and it worked.
