Does Pan's Labyrinth count as foreign?
Amores Perros was good
A Tale of Two Sisters\
City of God
Also, check out my av, A Snake of June, it's good, pretty kinky, but good.
personally I wasn't really impressed with OldBoy, maybe I was expecting too much from the hype. Same with the Host, it was entertaining, but I was expecting great things.

I concur with Amelie and everything else by Jeunet:
A Very Long Engagement - Audrey Tautou unravels a mystery in post-war France trying to locate her MIA love.
Delicatessen - An unemployed circus clown moves to a bizarre apartment building run by a butcher during a meat shortage.
City of Lost Children - A young girl enlists a circus strong-man to track down her brother, who is kidnapped by a mad scientist.
Some other good stuff:
Hero - Jet Li arrives at an Emperor's doorstep claiming to have killed the empire's three most notorious outlaws.
Underground - A sprawling serio-comic fairy tale set in Yugoslavia during and after WW2.
Shaolin Soccer - Stephen Chow's comic actioner about washed-up shaolin monks using their powers to play soccer.
Kung Fu Hustle - Stephen Chow's follow-up, about a slum full of martial artists fighting gangsters.
Musa (aka The Warrior) - Korean action-drama about Korean soldiers trying to rescue a Chinese princess from Mongols.
Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance, Oldboy, and Lady Vegeance - Chan-wook Park's brutal "Vengeance Trilogy," prominently examining the futility and circular nature of vengeance.
Pusher 1, 2, & 3 - A crime drama trilogy set in Copenhagen.
Downfall - A detailed and harrowing look at final few days of the Nazi party.
Twilight Samurai and The Hidden Blade - Two very similar dramas about humble samurai who are forced into deadly clan politics.
13 Tzameti - A penniless young handiman steals a letter from a deceased customer and unwittingly embroils himself in a deadly game.
Versus - Low budget action extravaganza featuring zombies, gunplay, swordfights, and kung fu.
Lagaan - An enjoyable Bollywood film about Indian peasants who must play cricket against English soldiers to avoid a crippling tax.
Master of the Flying Guillotine - Classic chop-socky about a blind old imperial assassin hunting for the one-armed boxer who killed his disciples.
English Language:
Romper Stomper - Russell Crowe's debut, about the disintegration of a skinhead gang in Australia.
Sexy Beast - A happily retired bank cracker is visited by his psychopathic former colleague, who is bent on forcing him back for one last job.
Chopper - Eric Bana's debut as real-life underworld lunatic "Chopper" Read.

I only read through the 1st page so perhaps it's been said...
REC, spanish horror movie. I saw it the other night and it beats every single horror flick I've seen for years. Had to take a breather before hitting the sack.
