Some faves of mine:
Kurosawa's Seven Samurai
Luc Besson's Le Dernier Combat
Timur Bekmambetov's Nochnoy Dozor (Night Watch)
Terry Gilliam's Brasil
Lars Von Trier's Breaking The Waves
Corey Yuen's Gau yat: San diu hap lui (Savior of the Soul)

Probably think of ten more as soon as I close this window.

cinema paradisio, city of god, amorres perros, children of men & dirty pretty things are great lesser known recent british films, seven samurai is long but awesome, Audition from japan is f'd up, the host, all of david cronenbergs lesser known work(he did the fly, history of violence). There's alot i'm a film lover and screen writer, most of these films are more geared to the conventional mma fan.

This wasn't made in China or by a Chinese production company. It was made by a French Director named Luc Besson. He was probably most famous for Leon: The Professional. It was released in the US under the title: Unleashed.
