this has a very good shot at being a good movie. it's like getting a second shot at the original concept.

It seems to me they are basically starting over like they did with Batman. This is going to be a whole other concept, so I don't think it is fair to compare it to the other 3, good or bad.

I think this one is going to be a proper reinvention. I thought Nick Stahl was really piss-weak in T3; even Arnie couldn't convince me he was a robot, and the movie seemed to be a reshooting of scenes from T1 and T2, with a couple of bobbins thrown in to make it seem new.

Given the current vogue for reinventing heroes as flawed psychotics I imagine Christian Bale will play the role of a world saviour who's also a rapist drunk. Here's hoping.
