Ive thought about opening a night club or restraunt some day.
If I opened a restraunt I would go with an old school italian place, like something out of a mobster movie.
As for a bar or nightclub, I go slightly upscale. Id love to have a bar that looks like a restraunt, with booths and couches for people to sit, and still space to move around, and a dance floor.
The only problem is that where I live, if a bar get popular, it gets ghetto, then it becomes unpopular.
I've thought of a restaurant, more my scene, but both bar and restaurant have the same trap of seeming like a great thing to do until you actually try and do it, and then realise its a stressful nightmare with a monstrous failure rate. I don't think its worth the stress unless its a dream of yours and you have the actual know-how to make it work instead of vague ideas.

I was thinking owning a great authentic Chicago style pizzeria would be great. I just went to chicago for the first time a few weeks ago and the pizza was the best I've ever had. If I moved it to another state wheres theres nothing like it around you'd probably do pretty well.

Seems like everyone in my age group (26) has dreampt of one day opening their own bar. That dream ever cross you. Has anyone ever tried it. If you dreampt it but don't think you are going to do it now, feel free to share your bar concept as well.
couldn't do it... i'd drink too much of my own supply.

I always wanted to and it would be a good moneymaker. People drink when they are happy, sad, or just wanting to get drunk. It would be a lot of fucking work though and I don't like the idea of drunk assholes tearing shit up, fighting in my establishment, and puking and pissing all over the bathroom for starters.
