I have watched all of these shows. I think the one on Carthage is the best, talking about how they had indoor plumbing for every apartment in a multi story building and the port they were able to build.

It is a great show.

Great stuff.

I am currently hooked on the HBO show "Rome". It is really great and a good/entertaining depiction of their society.

Does anyone know how historically accurate the show is that has watched it?

Obviously everything is dramatized, but they did make things historically accurate in a few areas for sure.

One that stood out was the power of the gangs in Rome and how they controlled many things.

I have the Engineering and Empire Series. It's definitely worth watching.

Same with Rome. Both interesting in their own ways.

rome's a badass show. they shouldn't have based it historically since you know what happens to everyone but pullo and verinus, but that's the breaks.

incidentally the show was TOO good. it was too expensive to keep doing, shame.
