My ant stayed with her and when the soldiers did come around they harassed them for awhile and would often shoot at their house.

One of the neighbors a Serb would often protect them when the soldiers would come by and harass them. So the soldiers came in one day and said they were going to kill my ant and my grandmother stepped up and one of them said she’s old and is going to die soon and I guess she said something to them and one of the soldiers beat her with the butt of his AK over the head.

She had to get head surgery and was in a comma and never recovered.

RIP
our fam had a similar situation albeit on a lower level, the soldier replaced by a heroin addict, the beating replaced by him pretending to be her carer so she let him in, stealing all her stuff in front of her while she lay bed ridden unable to move. we tried the police but they sed they couldnt do anything so we tracked the guy down and got both his legs broken. make the punishment fit the crime...the do-gooders can go on all day about how u should forgive, but chances are they havent experienced anything because their happy christian little lives keep them away from it, but if you're wronged, and you dont sort it, that fact will haunt you until you do..thats how i see it.

I'd make sure the guilty person gets punished, but I wouldn't necessary risk my future on it. It depends, I guess.

This thread reminds me of Batman for some reason. I wonder why.

Oh, another problem with bloody revenge is it tends to go overboard. Like someone does something like failing to pay a debt. So the person owing money gets his legs broken, which is seen as too extreme. Shit just escalates and escalates.

I do mos def agree that there's a difference between instigating something, and retaliating something. But it's amazing what a slippery slope it becomes.

depends on who it was. mom or dad, they're gonna bite painfully for sure. then again, i'd probably do it either way just on principle.

I am currently seeking revenge against those without honor who fight in groups against one person who refused to fight.
