As for me, I would have to way the pros and cons of the situation. If some guy kills my wife and kids (I have none yet, but just suppose) then the choice is clear. But if a family member is beaten or otherwise attacked but survives, I have to weigh the chance of going to jail for taking revenge against the chance of punishing the transgression and not getting caught.

I sure do love revenge movies though.

He dosnt live in the states so its all good.

If you do go after him....do it legally. A soldier who has killed a civilian (by the means you described ) is guilty of a war crime. There are legal channels you can pursue.....and I hope that is the path you take......

I know some....and you're probably right.....I'm not familiar with the current state of affairs in Bosnia, but I'll bet they're trying to put the war behind them and move on...

My advice was for you so that you don't end up in a foreign jail or worse........in the end it is you who has to decide what you have to do and what you can live with......I wish you luck , whatever the path may be.........

Well I might as well tell the story.


So my grandmother didn’t want to leave her house when the Cetniks (Serbian Extremist) took over because she thought that she was an old lady and she had nothing to do with the politics. My ant stayed with her and when the soldiers did come around they harassed them for awhile and would often shoot at their house.


One of the neighbors a Serb would often protect them when the soldiers would come by and harass them. So the soldiers came in one day and said they were going to kill my ant and my grandmother stepped up and one of them said she’s old and is going to die soon and I guess she said something to them and one of the soldiers beat her with the butt of his AK over the head.

She had to get head surgery and was in a comma and never recovered.
