I had a platonic friends that morphed into a "friends with benefits."
We don't talk anymore. So if you care nothing about the friendship, give it a try. Either she'll accept it or reject it. Regardless of the outcome, you won't be good friends ever again.
Sucks that we aren't friends anymore after friends with benefits, but at least I got a few nude pics out of it.
My advice would be to quench your temptations. She may be able to lead you to other girls.

Btw, some of the best relationships I've seen have come from platonic friendships. My brother's best friend has been dating his girl for five years now, and they had both been close platonic friends all through high school.

Female perspective:
I've never felt comfortable with a guy blurting out his 'feelings' to me. If the feeling's not mutual I've tended not to want to be their friend anymore. However if you've both had a lot to drink, try it on and if she's not interested you can blame it on the booze - that's more understandable and I wouldn't stop being your friend.

When I was 16 this chick used to hang out with my group of friends. My good friend liked her but she just thought of him as a friend. I don't really remember how it happened because it was ten years ago, but me and the chick ended up alone at my house watching Jaws on TV and I sucked on her titties.
