Just wondering if anybody else happens to be a fan of his novels. I'm sure a lot of you have read Fight Club. So far I've read Fight Club, Survivor, Choke, Invisible Monsters and I'm currently in the process of finishing Lullaby. He's an amazing author and I just thought that his writing style would appeal to sherdoggers.
Hes awesome, new book coming out soon called Snuff. Choke was his best so far in my opinion, followed by Invisible Monsters, Survivor and than Fight Club. Rant was pretty good as well actually. I didn't like the other though. I own all his books.
Huge huge Palahniuk fan! Read all his work, even his two non-fiction works. I'm looking forward to his new book Snuff which comes out in a few weeks.
Anytime some in this forum asks about book recommendations, I always throw out Palahniuk. Survivor is my favorite work of his, followed by Lullaby and Choke.
Whats the one book called where he writes it from the perspective of a person whos always trying to be a hero or something. Or maybe im tripping balls.

Chuck Palahniuk is an awesome author. I read an interview with him that was great in which he said something to the effect of... Why should anybody read a book these days? When you've got the internet, movies, video games and magazines why should anyone waste their time reading long drawn out novels? We live in a time of instant gratification, so books should live up to the same standard. They should be instantly gratifying. You shouldn't have to sit through boring parts of a book. A book's first page should be as enjoyable to read as the last, or any page in the middle.
Chuck Palahniuk is what is good about contemporary literature. The classics are great, but I like to read stories that are relevant to today. Palaniuk delivers great writing, and phenomenal stories.
I have read all of his books except Choke, and thoroughly enjoyed all of them. Rant, his latest book is a very entertaining read, full of a lot of mental gymnastics. Great book. Haunted is also a very good book. You can learn some good lessons from that disgusting book.
I'm a big fan, and I'll be getting snuff when it comes out.

Despite the fact that Hughes and GSP both had very difficult times taking Penn down, Sherk (who got easily outwrestled by both Hughes and GSP) is suddenly going to be able to takedown Penn with ease?
