What a line of bullshit. If the employer does not like the quality of your work then they have option of firing you. It's a complete chickenshit move to take someone off the schedule without any explanation and watch them beg for more hours. If they want to play that fucking game then go and file a claim for benefits and let them know that you have legal options. They will think twice when they decide to do it again. I've seen countless people who were good, honest employees get screwed over by greedy, scumbag employers who take them off the schedule and hope that they are ignorant enough not to exercise their legal rights.
Secondly, people that collect unemployment benefits are not living off a stipend derived from other people's salaries. Individuals do not pay one red cent out of their paychecks for unemployment benefits. Take a look at the deductions on your paycheck stub and you will not see any deductions for unemployment benefits. The UI system is supported by liable employer's paying taxes into the UI trust fund. Go do some legal research before you run your mouth off.
