I use Blender3D (2.5 is due for it's first beta release soon, the current alpha builds aren't production ready) for a bit of video editing as well as modeling, animation and some game proof of concept stuff, but it's not the easiest application to work with.
There's also cinelerra/heroine, but only runs on linux, and it's a full featured editor not really made to be easy to pick up.
Honestly, for an mma hl, I don't see why the windows movie maker couldn't do the job just fine, maybe with a bit of help from virtualdub (amazing little app).

Other than that, I don't think there are a whole lot of decent free video editing applications out there.

Depends what you need.
Are you authoring DVDs, doing menus/chapters etc?
Or do you just need to burn data or images to disks?

If you need the whole toolkit, I don't really know of any free options out there.

If you just need to burn on the other hand, I find CDBurnerXP works just fine.

Titan416, you sir are a genius for making this thread. Adobe was becoming a pest and Foxit sounds like a useful alternative, though I have yet to actually use it yet, I'll trust you guys.
