Thanx a lot guys for the info. How said intelligent discussion is impossible on Sherdog?

Got a question about CCleaner: when I add files to it under the options program, why doesn't it get rid of them?

Great Thread, I have LONG used Firefox, Spybot, AVG's Free Anti Virus, and Zone Alarm's Free Firewall, plus a huge fan of Picassa2 the picture viewing, editing and uploading program from Google. as well as Adaware.
Lots of good suggestions on here. I am going to try some of these other programs out. I love open source and freeware programs. Once I actually have a little money coming in I intend to send some small donations to some of these developers, cause they made great programs, save us all money, and didn't even make them with expectation of getting paid directly.
Once again, great and useful thread!

How do I know if my harddrive is partitioned?
I had it partition years back and then took it in to be un-partitioned.
I'm not sure if it is as my computer is still using about 17 bgs of space and I have no video downloads or games.

Brilliant suggestions....I've used most of them for years now....IrFan, VLC, Spybot, Ad-Aware, best of all is EAC (Exact Audio Copy) it is the absolute best ripping software available, especially if you have a surround system with a fibre optics connection which is prob the only way you would notice the diff in sound quality between 128k and 320k rips..
I've abandoned all my protection software in favour of Kaspersky nowadays, I can't say enough good things about this software, it finds and kills everything bad on the pc...one other thing I use for protection on sites is the NO SCR1PT extension for Firefox, it's absolutely amazing it will stop anything nasty on a website...and if you do accidentally allow something Kaspersky will pick it up from there anyway...

The only downside to NoScr-ipt is when you're shopping online. I have other browsers though, so that's not so much a problem for me. __________________
