You should actually try watching the show before you comment on it.

Six Feet Under got even more ridiculous towards the end than even The Sopranos imo. The Wire is definitely the best written out of all of them. The writers were comprised of a former Baltimore journalist and a former Baltimore detective for Christ's sake.

I don't agree at all, but whatever. The Wire is a good show, nonetheless. As far as realism goes, how can you contest Deadwood? None of us can, we weren't there...but I mean, come on. Just because the Wire was all about the ghetto....big woop. I can find that in my own city.

Nope, it was actually set for 6 seasons I believe. Carnivale was definitely set for 6 seasons, as the story was pretty complex.

It wasnt its face realism, it was the fact that the main characters were assholes, the bad guys got away, the good guys fucked up and people died because of it. It was the cause and effect story telling, how something that happens on the street in episode 1 effects how the mayor works in episode 5, which in turn effects how efficiant the school is in episode 8, going back to the street reacting to knock on effects from the school.
