I think The Wire is the best show in TV history. The Shield isn't far behind - totally different approaches and both are great shows.

though i do agree the Wire is the best show in TV history, even putting the shield close to it is an insult to both shows.

Hell yeah that show was bad ass. I just finished watching all five seasons, and it is now one of my favorite shows.

Great characters throughout, and no hesitation to kill them off no matter how good they were.

You can't fuck with Oz. I do enjoy The Wire, but nothing HBO has ever done or ever will do will be able to compete with Oz IMO, The Wire included.
