I can't remember the last time I was ever sick in the summer besides being an idiot and carrying myself one step closer to melanoma by not wearing sunscreen, which really isn't sickness, just burnination. On the other hand, I got sick 3 separate times (enough to miss class) from February to Mid April and twice before Christmas in the fall. This coming from me who went years in a row without getting much more than a cold.

I just love draining pus and nasty stuff. I always check who is the in waiting room when one of rooms in empty and if there is a kid with an abscess I pick them. I had a kid last week who had dropped a 45lbs weight on hsi foot and didn't come to the ER it got all infected and we got to drain it. It made my day.

i've only gotten sick 3 times that i can remember. once when i was 13, once when i was 19, and recently in hawaii as soon as my vacation started, and i was 22. i hope it doesn't become more frequent.

reminds me of the days where i had to drain peri-rectal abcesses as a medical student.. thank god for face shields..
