I happen to be one of those douchbag New Yorkers.
Although I never travel with attitude anywhere I go. I kind of figure I'm a guest in another's "house".

Interesting. I'm not from the area so when someone says "Vermont" I get a whole lot of nothing, like Delaware. Maybe they should run some TV ads like other states do. I know moer about Wyoming than I care for, and I'm never going there. LOL I guess for me Vermont isnt and probably wont ever be a "destination point" like other states and cities.

my cousin was telling me a couple winters ago that it used to be a big regional vacation spot for new englanders, but that's slowly eroding now, especially for skiers, since you can fly to park city or vail or wherever for the same cost or at least new it. i think for certain types there will always be an alluire though.

VT is primarily a vacation destination for southern NY, CT, and MA.
It give us a chance to visit "country" which isn't part of the everyday in this megalopolis of the east coast.
In Vermont there are old white wooden churches, farm land, and green mountians.
For me, it gives me that feeling of a simpler way of life. A welcome break as my job has me in a sealed clean laboratory.
