it's really good pay... 30$/hr, moreso if you work for a large hydro company rather them a small private company... no point in going to school for it, just a waste of time. much easier and faster to just get an apprenticeship.
i took electrical engineering in school... but never went into that trade after.

best wy to do it is start as a first year apprentice through the union if you can, get paid to learn , get great pension and benefits, first year will make 80 000 if you work enough hours, this is after taxes by the way
