Air Force/Military Life questions
I've been thinking about joining the air force for awhile now. As of now I'm still in the information gathering stage. So this question pertains to actual life on the base, or wherever you're stationed at post boot camp.
What are the social restrictions (alcohol, women, partying, etc.)? I have this notion in my head that you don't get to see a "civie" for the next four years. Specifically, about women. What are the rules as far as bringing them back to your house and all that good stuff? I'm leaving out a lot of the details, hopefully someone who has been in can fill in the blanks for me and anything else you think is vital for me to know.

Well, I've been there and done that, so I can probably answer just about all of your questions. I was stationed both stateside and overseas. Social restrictions are few, but there are some. Most will apply during boot camp and technical training school. So depending on your job, roughly about six months to one year. In tech school, you'll be able to date and go off base, but you can't bring chicks back to the dormitory. You can do pretty much anything you want off base that is legal. Once out of tech school and in the "real" Air Force, it's pretty much like any other job. There are lots of Air Force chicks (best of any branch in my opinion) and civilian chicks just like any other place. You're not supposed to have overnight visitors in the dorms, but it frequently happens. Once you attain the rank of Senior Airman (E-4), you'll likely get the chance to move off base. If you're going the officer route, you'll get this immediately. Then of course, you can do whatever you want.
Let me know if you have any other questions, I'll be happy to answer all that I can.

Late night thread got deleted
Why do you dislike it so much? I recall some of your reasons and they didn't strike me as that bad.
What about you AZ BJJ? Do you recommend me going in? Or having been in, do you try to dissuade others from joining?

i'm actually on dep atm and trust me its you and your decision alone to join or not
so i suggest that you ask alot of questions but ask yourself more, if it will benefit you, if your up for the military life, etc.
me im surrounded by former navy/usaf/army etc. uncles, friends of my dad, friends of uncles, basically everyone around me, so i had a great impression of what im getting myself into
