Is aggression learned or genetic?
I thought I posted this the other day....but I guess I dreamed it...that or it sucked so bad it's already ten pages back....
Do you think aggression is something learned from our environment....or is it in our genetics.....and therefore...maybe hard to overcome?

Mostly genetic.
That being said, we're all capable of learning.
Learn = Change in behavior.

Just as nearly everything in life, a bit of both. There are always outliers, but, just about everyone would have the predisposition for aggression, male/female matters too. Then it depends on what sort of environment they are in, etc.
If you're logical and you know someone is aggressive, then I would count on it for ever. Maybe age will reduce their hormones or they can relax with some sort of meditation and balance their bodies.
EDIT: Nurture can't defy genetics, only cover them up.

nature provides for the capacity for agression, but nurture makes it rise to the surface and become apparent.
to liken it to mma wandy is naturally agressive, but only fighting (nurture) allows his potential agression to be realised

I'll admit the nature/nurture combo is sort of a cop out in this conversation, but I do believe that is the answer to the TS's question, and like you say, its applicable to most questions regarding psychology.
