Age divisions in MMA

What do you think about age divisions in MMA for us old guys like they have in running? 30-40, 40-50, 50-60, etc

In running they dont have weight classes though...there'd be so many classes

There is already a lot of debate as to who is the best in weight classes. I don't want to argue who is the best 35 year old at 205. It would also lead to too much fracturing of the talent.

That's a good point. Plus, in MMA you are only fighting one guy, not competing against 100s of other runners. I would suggest trying to fight a guy your age.

I don't like it, too many classes.

However I wouldn't mind to see some kind of U/18 tournament, there probably is one out there already that I'm not aware of.
