Advice From Mayberry

most of us have done it from time to time, came to mayberry seeking advice for a wide variety of situations, I know I have done.

What percent of the advice given by mayberry posters do you think is solid useful advice? How often do you think the problems of posters are resolved by taking advice they get in this forum?

I have been thinking about it for a bit and it seems like Mayberry posters usually come up with the best advice for a wide array of situations.

Would you trust people in this forum for advice if you were ever in a situation and needed some pointers?

I'd trust some posters, there are clearly some very intelligent posters who can provide good advice on a wide range of topics.

I would probably get a second opinion depending on the subject, I'm not buying a house based on Mayberry advice

I don't judge advice based upon which forum it comes in, I base it upon the poster themselves and the power of their point of view.

I think you really have to appreciate opinions that come from an outside perspective. It's easy to get opinions from your friends and family but they are always going to be biased. A forum is as anonymous and unbiased as you are going to get on a situation .... unless you are in OT and then you are going to get crucified ... and justly so.

Sure MB is a better place to ask for an advice than OT, for example.
