The bad reviews I read were pretty dumb, just pretty much looking for reasons to give it a bad review.

Did they not get the memo that this run of Batman was a rebirth of the series? That guy's an idiot. Maybe they should bring back the style of the TV series from the 60s too. Obviously this guy went in with the mindset that he was going to give it a bad review, it just coincidentally happens that he's from NYC I guess.

The Batman thing has been played out for quite a few years now. It would be hard to imagine that critics would be easily impressed at this point.

I personally think they did a fantastic job on Batman Returns. I can't stand Tim Burtons Batman personally.

Coincidence? New Yorkers being snobbish douchebags? Butthurt over Dark Knight being moved to Chicago?

The film was shot in Chicago. Gotham may be fictional, but the locations are real places in the city.

The bad reviews I read were pretty dumb, just pretty much looking for reasons to give it a bad review either that or(ive read 2-3 like this) they dislike it because its not like Tim Burton's Batman.

lol what a fucking retard, as if tim burton was some great director and tim burton's batman was a great achievement.
you don't have to even know shit about movies to know this guy's a dipshit.
how dare this nolan nobody mess up the great tim burton's franchise (as if any batman movie is part of it from now on)- i mean we're talking about the genius who gave a the marky mark planet of the apes monstrosity! my lord those earlier batman flicks sucked. the best thing you could even say about them is that the first one wasn't completely awful.
